Description

Delicious and chewy bars made with rolled oats and sweet strawberry jam, perfect for a snack or dessert.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup strawberry jam
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9 inch baking pan.
  2. Mix together the rolled oats, flour, brown sugar, melted butter, salt, baking soda, and vanilla extract in a large bowl until crumbly.
  3. Press half of the oat mixture firmly into the bottom of the greased pan to form a crust.
  4. Spread the strawberry jam evenly over the crust.
  5. Crumble the remaining oat mixture on top of the jam layer.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
  7. Allow the bars to cool completely before cutting into squares.

Notes

These bars can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for about a week or frozen for longer storage. You can also experiment with different fruit jams.
