A simple and impressive dish featuring frozen meatballs coated in a glossy honey-garlic glaze, perfect for busy weeknights or gatherings.
Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons brown sugar (light or dark)
- 1/3 cup honey
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 28 oz fully cooked, frozen meatballs
Instructions
- Whisk together the brown sugar, honey, ketchup, soy sauce, and minced garlic until smooth.
- Place the frozen meatballs in the slow cooker in an even layer.
- Pour the sauce over the meatballs and gently toss to coat.
- Cover and cook on low for 3 to 4 hours, stirring occasionally.
- Taste and adjust seasoning before serving, thickening the sauce if necessary.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and parsley, and serve warm.
Notes
For gluten-free, substitute tamari for soy sauce. To reduce sweetness, use half ketchup and half tomato sauce with vinegar.
