Description
An ultra-creamy, hands-off slow cooker chicken dish served over delicate angel hair pasta, perfect for busy weeknights.
Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 packet (about 1 oz) Italian dressing mix
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened slightly
- 8 oz angel hair pasta
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Chopped parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Pat the chicken breasts dry. Season both sides lightly with salt and pepper. Lay them in a single layer in the slow cooker.
- Evenly sprinkle the Italian dressing mix over the chicken.
- In a medium bowl, combine the cream of chicken soup and the slightly softened cream cheese. Whisk until smooth.
- Pour the soup-and-cream-cheese mixture over the chicken, covering as much as possible. Don’t stir.
- Cover and cook on LOW for 6–8 hours or on HIGH for 3–4 hours until the chicken is tender.
- About 10 minutes before serving, cook the angel hair pasta according to package directions. Drain.
- To serve, place a portion of pasta on each plate, top with a chicken breast, and spoon the creamy sauce over everything. Sprinkle with chopped parsley if desired.
Notes
For best results, make sure cream cheese is at room temperature for easier blending. Use gluten-free options for cream soup if necessary.
