Description

A quick, silky weeknight pasta cooked in milk with minced garlic and finished with Parmesan for a creamy comfort dish.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz pasta (any type)
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups milk (whole or dairy-free)
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Warm a large pot over medium heat. Add olive oil.
  2. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 30–60 seconds.
  3. Pour in milk and add dry pasta. Stir to combine.
  4. Bring to a gentle boil, then lower the heat to a simmer.
  5. Simmer uncovered, stirring every 2–3 minutes, until pasta is tender and sauce has thickened, about 10–15 minutes.
  6. Remove from heat and stir in Parmesan until melted and smooth.
  7. Season with salt and pepper, garnish with parsley, and serve warm.

Notes

For a creamy, silkier sauce, consider adding a splash of heavy cream or a tablespoon of cream cheese at the end. Substitute with plant-based options for a vegan version.
