Description

Warm, cheesy sliders made with deli ham and Swiss cheese on sweet Hawaiian rolls, perfect for weeknights, potlucks, or casual dinners.

Ingredients

  • 12 Hawaiian rolls
  • 12 slices deli ham (about 812 oz)
  • 12 slices Swiss cheese
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon poppy seeds (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Slice the Hawaiian rolls horizontally into a top slab and a bottom slab. Place the bottom slab in the prepared dish.
  3. Layer the deli ham evenly across the bottom rolls. Top with Swiss cheese in an even layer.
  4. Whisk together the melted butter, Dijon mustard, poppy seeds (if using), garlic powder, and a pinch of salt and pepper until smooth.
  5. Pour the butter mixture evenly over the ham and cheese.
  6. Place the top slab of rolls over the filling, cover with foil, and bake for 15 minutes.
  7. Remove the foil and bake uncovered for an additional 10 minutes, until golden brown.
  8. Let the sliders rest for 2–3 minutes before slicing into individual sandwiches.

Notes

For a softer top crust, brush more melted butter after removing the foil. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3–4 days. Can freeze for up to 2 months.
