Soft, buttery sliders packed with melty cheese and savory ham, perfect for brunches and parties.
Ingredients
- 12 Hawaiian rolls, split horizontally
- 12 slices deli ham (8–12 oz)
- 12 slices Swiss or cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon poppy seeds (optional)
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Slice the Hawaiian rolls horizontally into top and bottom halves; place the bottom half in a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Layer the ham evenly across the bottom rolls, then top with the cheese slices.
- Whisk the melted butter, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, poppy seeds (if using), salt, and pepper until smooth. Taste and adjust seasoning.
- Pour about two-thirds of the butter mixture over the rolls, letting it soak in.
- Place the top half of the rolls over the filling and brush the remaining butter mixture on top.
- Cover the dish tightly with foil and bake for 15–20 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake uncovered for another 5–10 minutes until golden brown.
- Let the sliders rest for 2–3 minutes, then slice into 12 individual sliders and serve.
Notes
For a shiny top, brush melted butter mixed with a pinch of sugar before baking uncovered.
