Description

Soft, buttery sliders packed with melty cheese and savory ham, perfect for brunches and parties.

Ingredients

  • 12 Hawaiian rolls, split horizontally
  • 12 slices deli ham (812 oz)
  • 12 slices Swiss or cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon poppy seeds (optional)
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Slice the Hawaiian rolls horizontally into top and bottom halves; place the bottom half in a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  3. Layer the ham evenly across the bottom rolls, then top with the cheese slices.
  4. Whisk the melted butter, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, poppy seeds (if using), salt, and pepper until smooth. Taste and adjust seasoning.
  5. Pour about two-thirds of the butter mixture over the rolls, letting it soak in.
  6. Place the top half of the rolls over the filling and brush the remaining butter mixture on top.
  7. Cover the dish tightly with foil and bake for 15–20 minutes.
  8. Remove the foil and bake uncovered for another 5–10 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Let the sliders rest for 2–3 minutes, then slice into 12 individual sliders and serve.

Notes

For a shiny top, brush melted butter mixed with a pinch of sugar before baking uncovered.
