Description
Juicy meatballs infused with garlic and Parmesan, perfect for weeknight dinners or special occasions.
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef or turkey
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (regular or panko)
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 1 large egg
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil (for searing)
- 1 cup marinara sauce
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a baking dish or use a shallow ovenproof skillet.
- In a large bowl, combine the ground meat, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, minced garlic, chopped parsley, egg, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Mix until just combined.
- Shape the mixture into 1-inch meatballs (about 20–24 total).
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and sear the meatballs until browned on all sides, about 5–7 minutes.
- Transfer meatballs to the baking dish and pour marinara sauce over them.
- Bake for 15–20 minutes or until cooked through (internal temperature should be 160°F for beef, 165°F for turkey).
- Let rest for 3–5 minutes before serving.
Notes
For gluten-free, use gluten-free breadcrumbs. For firmer meatballs, add an extra tablespoon of breadcrumbs. Always ensure proper internal cooking temperatures.
