Description
A quick and wholesome breakfast option that combines rolled oats with brown sugar, cinnamon, and almond milk, perfect for busy mornings.
Ingredients
- 2 cups rolled oats
- 2 cups almond milk (or any milk alternative)
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 3 1/2 Tbsp. brown sugar
- A pinch of salt
- 3 Tbsp. maple syrup
- 1/4 cup chopped pecans
Instructions
- Add 1/2 cup of rolled oats and 1/2 cup of almond milk to each of four 8 oz. mason jars. Stir until well combined.
- Mix together the vanilla extract, cinnamon, brown sugar, salt, and maple syrup in a separate small bowl until smooth.
- Pour one-fourth of this brown sugar mixture into each jar, stirring for even distribution.
- Seal the jars tightly and refrigerate for at least 6 hours, or overnight.
- When ready to enjoy, take the jars out of the fridge, add chopped pecans, a sprinkle of brown sugar, and a drizzle of maple syrup if desired.
Notes
Great for meal prep; store jars in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. Add toppings just before serving for best flavor and texture.
