Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1 cup mini chocolate eggs (for decoration)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, melt the butter and mix it with the sugar until well combined.
- Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
- Gradually incorporate the dry mixture into the wet ingredients until everything is fully combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips delicately to maintain some of their shape.
- Drop spoonfuls of the cookie dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving ample space between each for spreading.
- Gently press the mini chocolate eggs into the tops of each cookie before baking.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the cookies are set around the edges.
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For extra fudgy texture, avoid overmixing the dough. High-quality chocolate chips enhance the flavor.
