Description

A savory and silky Chicken Marsala dish featuring tender chicken breasts in a rich mushroom and Marsala wine sauce.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 68 oz each)
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 8 oz cremini or button mushrooms, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup dry Marsala wine
  • 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • ½ cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Cook the chicken until golden brown on both sides, then remove and set aside.
  4. Add the sliced mushrooms and minced garlic to the skillet, sauté until mushrooms are soft.
  5. Pour in the Marsala wine and chicken broth, scraping up any browned bits.
  6. Stir in the heavy cream and return the chicken to the skillet.
  7. Simmer for 10 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  8. Serve over mashed potatoes, pasta, or polenta.
