Ingredients

  • 1 loaf of French or brioche bread
  • 8 ounces of cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup of blueberries (fresh or frozen)
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 1/2 cup of heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup of maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. Cut the bread into cubes and layer half of them in the prepared dish.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese with the blueberries, then spoon this mixture over the bread cubes.
  4. Top with the remaining bread cubes.
  5. In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, heavy cream, maple syrup, vanilla, and cinnamon until well-blended.
  6. Pour the egg mixture evenly over the layered bread and cover with foil.

  9. Serve warm, dusted with powdered sugar.
