Description

A fast, flavor-packed BBQ chicken flatbread pizza with tangy sauce, shredded chicken, and melty mozzarella.


Ingredients

  • 2 flatbreads (8–10 inches)
  • 1 cup cooked chicken breast, shredded
  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup red onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Place a rack in the center.
  2. Toss the shredded chicken with 1/2 cup BBQ sauce until evenly coated.
  3. Brush both flatbreads with olive oil and place them on a baking sheet.
  4. Divide the BBQ-coated chicken between the flatbreads, leaving a 1/2-inch border for the crust.
  5. Sprinkle mozzarella evenly over the chicken, then scatter the red onion on top.
  6. Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbling. Broil for 30–60 seconds for a crispy finish.
  7. Remove from the oven, sprinkle with cilantro, and let rest for 1–2 minutes before slicing into wedges.

Notes

For a smoky flavor, try adding smoked gouda or Monterey Jack cheese. Gluten-free options include gluten-free flatbreads. For a vegetarian dish, substitute shredded jackfruit or BBQ tofu for the chicken.
