Description

A delightful dish featuring tender chicken breasts topped with creamy jack cheese, garlic, and paprika, perfect for weeknight dinners or gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 3-4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup shredded Jack cheese (or cheddar)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2-3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • ½ cup sour cream (or Greek yogurt)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped green onions and paprika for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Rub olive oil over chicken breasts and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Sear chicken in a skillet over medium-high heat until golden brown, about 5 minutes per side.
  4. Add minced garlic and cook for an additional 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Pour in chicken broth, simmering and scraping browned bits for extra flavor.
  6. Stir in sour cream and bubble for about 5 minutes.
  7. Top each chicken breast with shredded Jack cheese and transfer skillet to the oven.
  8. Bake for around 15 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  9. Garnish with chopped green onions and paprika before serving.

Notes

For a healthier twist, you can use Greek yogurt instead of sour cream. A dairy-free cheese option works for lactose intolerance.
