Description

A quick and healthy Spicy Salmon Bowl featuring succulent salmon fillets with a zesty glaze and fresh slaw, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

  • 2 salmon fillets
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cups shredded cabbage
  • 1 carrot, julienned
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon sriracha (for spicy mayo)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine the soy sauce, honey, and sriracha to create a flavorful glaze.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  3. Season the salmon fillets with salt and pepper, then add them to the hot skillet.
  4. Cook the salmon for about 4-5 minutes on each side, basting regularly with the glaze, until fully cooked.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix together the shredded cabbage, julienned carrot, and chopped green onions for a fresh slaw.
  6. Prepare the spicy mayo by mixing the mayonnaise with 1 teaspoon of sriracha in another small bowl.
  7. To assemble, plate the cooked salmon, top it with the slaw, and drizzle generously with the spicy mayo.
  8. Serve immediately for the best flavors and textures.

Notes

For optimal freshness, enjoy the bowl within 2-3 days if refrigerated. Adjust the spice level by modifying the sriracha amount to suit your taste.
