Description

Easy and sticky honey garlic meatballs made in a slow cooker, perfect for busy nights and gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 28 oz fully cooked, frozen meatballs
  • Optional garnish: toasted sesame seeds, chopped scallions

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk the brown sugar, honey, ketchup, soy sauce, and minced garlic until smooth.
  2. Place the frozen meatballs in the slow cooker and pour the sauce over them, tossing gently to coat.
  3. Cover and cook on LOW for 3–4 hours, stirring once or twice during cooking.
  4. Taste the sauce near the end of cooking and add salt and pepper if needed.
  5. For a thicker glaze, scoop 1 cup of sauce into a saucepan, mix 1 teaspoon cornstarch with 2 tablespoons cold water, then whisk into the saucepan. Simmer until thickened and return to the slow cooker.
  6. Garnish with toasted sesame seeds and serve warm.

Notes

For gluten-free, use tamari instead of soy sauce. You can substitute honey with maple syrup for a different sweetness.
