Description

A tender, sweet, and savory chicken dish made effortlessly in a slow cooker with brown sugar, garlic, and soy sauce.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.52 pounds total)
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce (use low-sodium if preferred)
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced (or 1 teaspoon garlic powder)
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Place chicken breasts in a single layer in the slow cooker.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together brown sugar, soy sauce, minced garlic, and black pepper until mostly dissolved.
  3. Pour the sauce evenly over the chicken, tilting the slow cooker if needed.
  4. Cover and cook on LOW for 6–8 hours, or HIGH for 3–4 hours.
  5. Ensure chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) before serving.
  6. Spoon the sauce over rice or vegetables and serve hot.

Notes

Best served over rice; leftovers can be stored for 3–4 days in the refrigerator or up to 3 months in the freezer.
