Description

A creamy, savory ranch-infused chicken dish cooked to perfection in a slow cooker, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (optional for searing)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. (Optional) Sear the Chicken: Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat and sear each chicken breast for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown.
  2. Prepare the Sauce: In a crock pot, combine cream of chicken soup, ranch seasoning, chicken broth, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper. Stir until well mixed.
  3. Add Chicken: Place the chicken breasts into the crock pot, coating them well with the sauce mixture.
  4. Cook: Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours until the chicken is cooked through and tender.
  5. Shred & Mix: Use two forks to shred the chicken in the crock pot and stir in sour cream until creamy.
  6. Finish & Serve: Optional – Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top and garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

You can substitute cream of chicken with other cream soups for a unique twist. Adding a spritz of lemon juice before serving enhances flavor.
