Description
A comforting bowl of pasta tossed with succulent shrimp and bold flavors, elevated by aromatic garlic and zesty lemon.
Ingredients
- 12 oz linguine or spaghetti
- 1 lb large raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1½ tbsp Old Bay seasoning, divided
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- Juice and zest of 1 lemon
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- ¼ cup chopped fresh parsley
- Grated Parmesan (optional)
- ½ cup reserved pasta water
Instructions
- Cook the pasta in salted water until al dente. Reserve ½ cup of the pasta water before draining.
- Toss the shrimp with 1 tablespoon of Old Bay seasoning, salt, and olive oil.
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and sear the shrimp for 1-2 minutes on each side until pink and opaque. Remove and set aside.
- Lower the heat to medium, add butter and minced garlic, and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Stir in lemon juice, zest, red pepper flakes, and the remaining Old Bay. Add reserved pasta water to create a sauce.
- Toss the cooked pasta and shrimp into the skillet; mix until well combined and warmed through.
- Serve garnished with fresh parsley and Parmesan, with extra lemon if desired.
Notes
For added flavor, marinate shrimp in lemon juice and Old Bay for 30 minutes before cooking.
