Description

A comforting bowl of pasta tossed with succulent shrimp and bold flavors, elevated by aromatic garlic and zesty lemon.

Ingredients

  • 12 oz linguine or spaghetti
  • 1 lb large raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1½ tbsp Old Bay seasoning, divided
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • Juice and zest of 1 lemon
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • ¼ cup chopped fresh parsley
  • Grated Parmesan (optional)
  • ½ cup reserved pasta water

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta in salted water until al dente. Reserve ½ cup of the pasta water before draining.
  2. Toss the shrimp with 1 tablespoon of Old Bay seasoning, salt, and olive oil.
  3. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and sear the shrimp for 1-2 minutes on each side until pink and opaque. Remove and set aside.
  4. Lower the heat to medium, add butter and minced garlic, and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  5. Stir in lemon juice, zest, red pepper flakes, and the remaining Old Bay. Add reserved pasta water to create a sauce.
  6. Toss the cooked pasta and shrimp into the skillet; mix until well combined and warmed through.
  7. Serve garnished with fresh parsley and Parmesan, with extra lemon if desired.

Notes

For added flavor, marinate shrimp in lemon juice and Old Bay for 30 minutes before cooking.
