A delicious and moist banana bread with a rich flavor, perfect for breakfast or as a snack.
Ingredients
- 3 ripe bananas (mashed)
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter (melted)
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.

- In another bowl, whisk together the baking soda, baking powder, salt, and flour.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture. Stir until just combined—don’t overmix!
- If using nuts, fold in the chopped walnuts or pecans at this stage.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
- Bake for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the bread to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
