A quick and impressive shrimp dish in a creamy garlic sauce, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat for 1-2 minutes.
- Add minced garlic and sauté for about a minute until fragrant.
- Cook shrimp on one side for 2-3 minutes until pink, then flip and cook for another 1-2 minutes.
- Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream, stirring to scrape any bits from the bottom.
- Lower heat, mix in Parmesan cheese and red pepper flakes. Stir until cheese melts and sauce thickens, about 3-4 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve over pasta or rice.
Notes
Don’t overcook the shrimp; they should be firm and juicy. For extra flavor, use fresh garlic and adjust red pepper flakes for more heat.
