A crispy, cheesy chicken dish that brings the classic steakhouse flavors to your home kitchen.
Ingredients
- 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup bread crumbs
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a shallow dish, mix together the bread crumbs, half of the grated Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper.
- In another dish, whisk the eggs and milk together until combined.
- Pour the all-purpose flour into a third dish.
- Dredge each chicken breast in the flour, then dip it into the egg mixture and coat with the breadcrumb mixture.
- Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook the chicken for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Transfer the chicken to a baking dish and mix remaining Parmesan with mozzarella and minced garlic; spread over the chicken.
- Bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes until chicken is cooked through and cheese is bubbly and golden.
Notes
Serve with garlic mashed potatoes, steamed green beans, or a fresh salad.
