A quick and delicious pasta dish featuring shrimp tossed in a creamy lemon butter sauce, perfect for weeknight dinners.
Ingredients
- 8 oz pasta (spaghetti or linguine)
- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 lemon, juiced and zested
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente; drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Toss in the shrimp and cook for around 3-4 minutes until they turn pink and opaque.
- Stir in the lemon juice and zest, seasoning with salt and pepper to taste.
- Toss the cooked pasta in the skillet with the shrimp and lemon butter sauce, ensuring it’s well coated.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
Notes
For a hint of heat, add red pepper flakes while sautéing the garlic. Avoid overcooking the shrimp to prevent them from becoming rubbery.
