Description

A quick and delicious pasta dish featuring shrimp tossed in a creamy lemon butter sauce, perfect for weeknight dinners.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz pasta (spaghetti or linguine)
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 lemon, juiced and zested
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)


Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente; drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
  3. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Toss in the shrimp and cook for around 3-4 minutes until they turn pink and opaque.
  5. Stir in the lemon juice and zest, seasoning with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Toss the cooked pasta in the skillet with the shrimp and lemon butter sauce, ensuring it’s well coated.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

For a hint of heat, add red pepper flakes while sautéing the garlic. Avoid overcooking the shrimp to prevent them from becoming rubbery.
