Ingredients
- 2 fillets Salmon (can substitute with halibut or trout)
- 1 tablespoon Olive Oil (or avocado oil for higher heat)
- 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder (or fresh garlic for an extra flavor boost)
- 1 teaspoon Smoked Paprika (regular paprika works too)
- Salt & Black Pepper (to taste)
- 1/2 cup Mayonnaise (or Greek yogurt for a lighter touch)
- 1/4 cup Sweet Chili Sauce
- 1-2 tablespoons Sriracha (adjust according to your heat tolerance)
- 1 tablespoon Honey/Maple Syrup (optional for added sweetness)
- 1 tablespoon Rice Vinegar/Lime Juice (or lemon juice)
- 2 tablespoons Chopped Green Onions (or cilantro, if preferred)
- 1 tablespoon Sesame Seeds (optional for added crunch)
Instructions
- Pat the salmon fillets dry and season them with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the salmon skin-side down and cook for about 4-6 minutes until seared.
- Flip the salmon carefully and cook for an additional 4-6 minutes until cooked through and flaky.
- While the salmon cooks, whisk together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, Sriracha, honey or maple syrup (if using), and rice vinegar or lime juice in a bowl to create the Bang Bang sauce.
- Once cooked, remove the salmon from the skillet and place it on a serving plate. Drizzle with the sauce and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
Notes
Serve with fluffy jasmine rice or a vibrant salad. Can use frozen salmon, just ensure it’s fully thawed before cooking.
