Description

A quick and flavorful Bang Bang Salmon recipe ready in just 25 minutes. This dish features creamy, spicy, and slightly sweet sauces that transform ordinary salmon into a restaurant-quality meal.

Ingredients

  • 2 fillets Salmon (can substitute with halibut or trout)
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil (or avocado oil for higher heat)
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder (or fresh garlic for an extra flavor boost)
  • 1 teaspoon Smoked Paprika (regular paprika works too)
  • Salt & Black Pepper (to taste)
  • 1/2 cup Mayonnaise (or Greek yogurt for a lighter touch)
  • 1/4 cup Sweet Chili Sauce
  • 1-2 tablespoons Sriracha (adjust according to your heat tolerance)
  • 1 tablespoon Honey/Maple Syrup (optional for added sweetness)
  • 1 tablespoon Rice Vinegar/Lime Juice (or lemon juice)
  • 2 tablespoons Chopped Green Onions (or cilantro, if preferred)
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame Seeds (optional for added crunch)

Instructions

  1. Pat the salmon fillets dry and season them with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the salmon skin-side down and cook for about 4-6 minutes until seared.
  3. Flip the salmon carefully and cook for an additional 4-6 minutes until cooked through and flaky.
  4. While the salmon cooks, whisk together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, Sriracha, honey or maple syrup (if using), and rice vinegar or lime juice in a bowl to create the Bang Bang sauce.
  5. Once cooked, remove the salmon from the skillet and place it on a serving plate. Drizzle with the sauce and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

Serve with fluffy jasmine rice or a vibrant salad. Can use frozen salmon, just ensure it’s fully thawed before cooking.
