Description

Quick skillet recipe for sweet and savory shrimp glazed in honey and garlic, perfect for meals with minimal effort.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Set aside.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat until shimmering.
  3. Add the shrimp in a single layer. Cook undisturbed for about 2–3 minutes until the edges start to turn pink.
  4. Flip the shrimp and cook 2–3 more minutes on the other side until opaque and firm.
  5. Pour the honey-garlic mixture over the shrimp. Stir constantly for 1–2 minutes until the sauce reduces slightly and coats the shrimp. Remove from heat.
  6. Transfer to a platter and sprinkle with chopped green onions. Serve immediately.

Notes

If using frozen shrimp, thaw fully and pat dry before cooking for a good sear. For gluten-free, swap soy sauce for tamari.
