Description
This quick and flavorful dish combines tender shrimp with a sweet-savory honey-garlic sauce and crisp broccoli, perfect for a weeknight meal.
Ingredients
- 16–20 count shrimp, peeled and deveined
- Broccoli florets, bite-sized
- 2–3 tablespoons butter
- 2–3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1–2 tablespoons honey (adjust to taste)
- 1–2 tablespoons soy sauce (low-sodium if preferred)
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- Green onions, thinly sliced (optional garnish)
Instructions
- Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels and season lightly with salt and pepper.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter until it foams.
- Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30–60 seconds until fragrant.
- Add shrimp to the skillet in a single layer. Cook 1.5–2 minutes per side until the shrimp curl, turn pink, and the flesh is opaque.
- Remove shrimp to prevent overcooking while you cook the broccoli.
- Add broccoli to the same skillet and stir-fry for 3–4 minutes until bright green and tender-crisp.
- Return shrimp to the skillet, drizzle honey and soy sauce over everything, and toss to coat evenly.
- Cook for another 30–60 seconds until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Taste and adjust seasoning before serving immediately with optional green onions on top.
Notes
For gluten-free, swap soy sauce with tamari or coconut aminos. For dairy-free, use olive oil or coconut oil instead of butter.
