Ingredients
- 2 cups rolled oats
- 1 cup almonds, chopped
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup honey or maple syrup
- 1/2 cup peanut butter or almond butter
- 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup dried fruit, chopped (optional)
Instructions

- In a large bowl, stir together the rolled oats, chopped almonds, and salt until evenly mixed.
- In a small saucepan over low heat, combine the honey (or maple syrup) and peanut butter (or almond butter). Stir until melted and smooth, about 1-2 minutes.
- Pour the warm binder over the dry ingredients and mix with a spatula until well coated.
- Fold in the mini chocolate chips and dried fruit, stirring just enough to distribute.
- Transfer the mixture to the prepared pan and press down firmly to compress.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the edges are golden and the surface is set.
- Remove from the oven and cool completely in the pan on a wire rack for at least 1 hour before cutting into bars.
Notes
