A delicious and comforting banana bread with a delightful cinnamon-sugar swirl, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- A pinch of salt
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 4×8 inch loaf pan.
- In a large mixing bowl, blend the mashed bananas with the melted butter until fully combined.
- Stir in the baking soda and add a pinch of salt.
- Mix in the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Gradually fold in the flour, mixing gently to avoid overbeating.
- In a separate small bowl, combine the ground cinnamon and brown sugar.
- Layer half of the banana batter into the loaf pan, followed by half of the cinnamon sugar mixture.
- Pour in the remaining banana batter and top it off with the last of the cinnamon sugar.
- Use a knife to swirl the cinnamon mixture into the batter.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean from the center.
- Allow cooling before slicing and enjoying your creation!
Notes
For best results, use overripe bananas and avoid over-mixing the batter.
