Ingredients
- 1 lb chicken breast
- 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 bell pepper, chopped
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 oz pasta (penne or your choice)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Parmesan cheese for serving
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- In your crock pot, place the chicken breast, Cajun seasoning, chicken broth, bell pepper, onion, and garlic.
- Set your crock pot to low and let it cook for 4-6 hours or until the chicken is tender.
- Remove the chicken from the pot, shred it using two forks, and then return to the pot.
- Stir in the heavy cream and your choice of cooked pasta.
- Allow it to cook for another 10-15 minutes until everything is well combined and heated through.
- Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper as needed.
- Dish it up, adding a generous sprinkle of Parmesan cheese and freshly chopped parsley on top.
Notes
For variations, consider using turkey or a vegetarian protein instead of chicken, and experiment with different types of pasta or additional vegetables.
