Description

A delightful and comforting dish combining tender chicken with a creamy Cajun sauce, perfect for busy weeknight dinners.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breast
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 oz pasta (penne or your choice)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Parmesan cheese for serving
  • Fresh parsley for garnish


Instructions

  1. In your crock pot, place the chicken breast, Cajun seasoning, chicken broth, bell pepper, onion, and garlic.
  2. Set your crock pot to low and let it cook for 4-6 hours or until the chicken is tender.
  3. Remove the chicken from the pot, shred it using two forks, and then return to the pot.
  4. Stir in the heavy cream and your choice of cooked pasta.
  5. Allow it to cook for another 10-15 minutes until everything is well combined and heated through.
  6. Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper as needed.
  7. Dish it up, adding a generous sprinkle of Parmesan cheese and freshly chopped parsley on top.
