Ingredients
- 1.5 lbs chicken thighs (boneless, skinless)
- 1 cup bourbon
- 1/4 cup soy sauce (low sodium preferred)
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon grated ginger
- 1 tablespoon ketchup
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- Green onions for garnish
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine bourbon, soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, grated ginger, ketchup, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.
- Place chicken thighs in the crock pot and pour the bourbon mixture over them, ensuring even coating.
- Cover the crock pot and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours until chicken is tender and fully cooked.
- Shred the chicken if desired and mix back into the sauce.
- Serve hot over rice or noodles, garnished with chopped green onions.
Notes
