Description
A comforting and satisfying meal featuring tender chicken breasts simmered in a creamy sauce served over angel hair pasta.
Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 1 packet Italian dressing mix
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 8 ounces angel hair pasta
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Place the chicken breasts in the Crock Pot.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the cream of chicken soup, Italian dressing mix, and chicken broth, then pour this mixture over the chicken.
- Cover the Crock Pot and set it to low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is cooked through and tender.
- In the last half hour of cooking, prepare the angel hair pasta according to the package instructions.
- Just before serving, shred the chicken right in the sauce and mix well to combine the flavors.
- Serve the chicken and sauce over the cooked pasta, topping with mozzarella cheese and fresh parsley.
Notes
For a spicy kick, add crushed red pepper flakes or use spicy Italian dressing. Feel free to try different cheeses or add vegetables for added nutrition.
