Description

A quick and delicious creamy garlic-paprika shrimp dish that transports you to a coastal restaurant experience right at home.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound of large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 3 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon of smoked paprika
  • 1 cup of heavy cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish


Instructions

  1. Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels. Season with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika.
  2. Mince the garlic cloves finely.
  3. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat until shimmering.
  4. Add the seasoned shrimp to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink and opaque. Remove and set aside.
  5. In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes.
  6. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer, stirring until the sauce thickens slightly, about 3-4 minutes.
  7. Return the shrimp to the skillet, tossing to coat in the sauce.
  8. Garnish with parsley and serve hot.

Notes

Serve over rice or pasta, or with crusty bread. Suitable for adjusting the spice level to taste.
