Description
A quick and delicious creamy garlic-paprika shrimp dish that transports you to a coastal restaurant experience right at home.
Ingredients
- 1 pound of large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 3 cloves of garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 1 teaspoon of smoked paprika
- 1 cup of heavy cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels. Season with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika.
- Mince the garlic cloves finely.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat until shimmering.
- Add the seasoned shrimp to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink and opaque. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes.
- Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer, stirring until the sauce thickens slightly, about 3-4 minutes.
- Return the shrimp to the skillet, tossing to coat in the sauce.
- Garnish with parsley and serve hot.
Notes
Serve over rice or pasta, or with crusty bread. Suitable for adjusting the spice level to taste.
