Description

A delicious blend of tender green beans, savory bacon, and a sweet soy-based glaze, perfect for any meal.

Ingredients

  • 5 cans (14.5 oz each) cut green beans, drained
  • 8 slices of bacon, cooked crisp and crumbled
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Cook bacon slices in a skillet over medium heat until crispy, then drain on paper towels and crumble.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together melted butter, brown sugar, soy sauce, garlic powder, and black pepper until smooth.
  4. Spread drained green beans in the prepared baking dish and pour the sauce over, tossing to coat.
  5. Sprinkle crumbled bacon on top.
  6. Bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes or until bubbling and slightly thickened.
  7. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

Great for potlucks and family gatherings. For a healthier version, use turkey bacon or reduce the sugar.
