Description

A quick and indulgent no-bake dessert featuring layers of chocolate sandwich cookies, cream cheese, whipped topping, and chocolate pudding.


Ingredients

  • 2430 chocolate sandwich cookies (like Oreos), crushed finely (about 2 1/23 cups crumbs)
  • 68 tablespoons melted butter
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 3/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 8 ounces whipped topping (thawed) OR 1 1/2 cups heavy cream whipped to soft peaks
  • 1 (3.9-ounce) package instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 2 cups cold milk


Instructions

  1. Prepare the cookie base: Place cookies in a food processor and pulse until they become fine crumbs. Stir in melted butter until the crumbs hold together when pressed.
  2. Press the crumb mixture into an even layer in a 9×13-inch dish. Chill briefly while you make the filling.
  3. Make the cream cheese layer: Beat softened cream cheese and powdered sugar together until smooth. Fold in half of the whipped topping until combined and fluffy.
  4. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the chilled cookie crust.
  5. Whisk the instant chocolate pudding mix with cold milk until it thickens, then pour it over the cream cheese layer.
  6. Top with the remaining whipped topping, spreading to cover the pudding completely.
  7. Cover and refrigerate for at least 3–4 hours, ideally overnight.
  8. Slice and serve chilled. Garnish with extra cookie crumbs or shaved chocolate if desired.

Notes

For a gluten-free version, use gluten-free sandwich cookies. Vegan options available with appropriate substitutes.
