Ingredients
- 2 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1/2 cup all-purpose or whole wheat flour
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips or nuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mix the mashed bananas, rolled oats, flour, brown sugar, honey (or maple syrup), baking soda, cinnamon, and salt until everything is well combined.
- If you’d like, fold in chocolate chips or nuts for extra flavor and texture.
- Drop spoonfuls of the cookie dough onto the prepared baking sheet, ensuring there’s space between each.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges turn golden brown.
- Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days, or refrigerate for a week. They can also be frozen for up to three months.
