Description
Cheeseburger sliders combine classic cheeseburger flavors into bite-sized servings, perfect for parties and family dinners.
Ingredients
- 2 lbs lean ground beef (90/10 or 93/7 fat content)
- 1/2 Tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 large yellow onion, finely diced
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 8 slices medium cheddar cheese
- 6 oz shredded medium cheddar cheese
- 24 dinner rolls
- 2 Tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 1 Tbsp sesame seeds (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350˚F and butter the bottom of a rimmed baking sheet.
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add the olive oil. Sauté the diced onions until softened, about 3-4 minutes.
- Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart. Season generously with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Cook until browned, then remove from heat.
- Drain any excess fat and mix in the mayonnaise until well combined with the beef.
- Slice the dinner rolls in half and arrange the bottom halves on the greased baking sheet. Layer half the cheese slices (4) on top, then spread the beef mixture evenly across.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the beef and gently place the top halves of the rolls, cut-side down.
- Brush the tops with melted butter and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the tops are golden brown.
Notes
For added flavor, consider substituting cheddar for pepper jack or adding toppings like jalapeños or pickles.
