Description

Miniature cheeseburgers baked in Hawaiian rolls, perfect for gatherings and game days.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
  • 12 Hawaiian rolls (pack)
  • 8 slices American cheese
  • Pickles (slices or spears)
  • Ketchup (to taste)
  • Mustard (optional)
  • Onion (optional)
  • 2 tbsp melted butter (optional)
  • Salt (to taste)
  • Pepper (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and position a rack in the middle.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until fully browned, breaking it up with a spatula.
  3. Season beef with salt and pepper to taste and drain excess fat.
  4. Slice Hawaiian rolls horizontally and place the bottom half in a baking dish.
  5. Spread cooked beef evenly over the bottom rolls.
  6. Layer cheese slices over the beef.
  7. Add pickles, ketchup, mustard, and onions if using.
  8. Place the top half of the rolls over the sliders and press gently.
  9. Brush with melted butter if desired.
  10. Bake for about 15 minutes or until cheese is melted and tops are golden brown.
  11. Remove from oven, slice between buns, and serve warm.

Notes

Consider swapping the cheese or adding toppings like sautéed onions for more flavor. These sliders travel well; wrap and reheat for picnics.
