Description

A quick and flavorful dish combining spicy Cajun shrimp and flaky salmon in a rich garlic cream sauce, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb shrimp, deveined
  • 1 lb salmon fillets
  • 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Pat shrimp and salmon dry with paper towels; season with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil, then shrimp in a single layer. Cook 2–3 minutes per side, until opaque and pink; remove shrimp and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add salmon fillets and cook 4–5 minutes per side until fish flakes easily; transfer salmon to the plate with shrimp.
  4. Reduce heat to medium-low, add minced garlic to the skillet, and sauté for 1 minute.
  5. Pour in chicken broth, scraping up browned bits, and bring to a gentle simmer for 1–2 minutes.
  6. Stir in heavy cream and let sauce thicken for 3–4 minutes; adjust heat if necessary.
  7. Return shrimp and salmon to the skillet, spoon sauce over them, and heat through for 1–2 minutes.
  8. Taste and adjust seasoning; sprinkle with chopped parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

Best served with buttered rice, garlic mashed potatoes, or on a bed of egg noodles. For a lighter option, pair with a lemony arugula salad.
