Description

Transform simple chicken breasts into mouthwatering BBQ chicken that’s bursting with flavor and perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts (trimmed of fat)
  • 1 1/4 cups barbecue sauce (Sweet Baby Ray’s Honey BBQ recommended)
  • 1/2 cup fat-free Italian dressing
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste


Instructions

  1. Spray the inside of your crockpot with non-stick cooking spray.
  2. Season the chicken with salt, pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder, then place them in the crockpot.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together the barbecue sauce, Italian dressing, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce until mixed.
  4. Pour the sauce evenly over the chicken breasts.
  5. Cover and cook on high for 2.5–3 hours or low for 5–6 hours until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
  6. Shred the chicken in the crockpot using two forks.
