Description

Soft Hawaiian rolls filled with tangy BBQ chicken and gooey melted cheese, perfect for game day or weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked, shredded chicken
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1 package King’s Hawaiian rolls (12 rolls)
  • 12 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13 baking dish.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the shredded chicken and BBQ sauce.
  3. Slice the King’s Hawaiian rolls horizontally and place the bottom halves in the baking dish.
  4. Add the BBQ chicken evenly over the bottom halves.
  5. Sprinkle shredded cheese over the chicken.
  6. Place the top halves of the rolls back on and brush with melted butter if desired.
  7. Bake for 15–20 minutes until the cheese is melted and the rolls are golden brown.
  8. Let sit for 2–3 minutes, slice, and serve warm.

Notes

For a smoky flavor, use smoked cheddar or Monterey Jack. Mix hot sauce into the chicken for spicy sliders.
