Description
Juicy, well-seasoned boneless chicken thighs cooked in an air fryer for a quick and indulgent weeknight meal.
Ingredients
- 5–6 boneless, skinless chicken thighs (about 1.5–2 pounds)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika (smoked paprika works well)
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt (adjust to taste if using table salt)
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- Cooking spray or a light brush of oil for the air fryer basket
Instructions
- Remove thighs from the fridge 10–15 minutes before cooking. Trim excess fat and pat each piece dry with paper towels.
- In a small bowl, whisk together garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, Italian seasoning, kosher salt, and black pepper.
- Place the thighs in a medium bowl and sprinkle the seasoning over them. Toss until evenly coated.
- Set your air fryer to 380°F and spray the basket lightly with cooking spray (or wipe with a little oil).
- Arrange the thighs in a single layer, skinless side up. Cook 15–17 minutes total, flipping once at about 7–9 minutes. Internal temperature should reach 165°F when measured at the thickest part.
- Let the thighs rest 3–5 minutes before slicing. Finish with a squeeze of fresh lemon juice and chopped parsley if desired.
Notes
Use smoked paprika for a deeper flavor. For a touch of heat, add cayenne or red pepper flakes.
